How Long Does The Disability Claim Process Take?

Can I Work While Applying For Disability?
You can work, but earning over the maximum limit will likely result in denial. This is called “substantial gainful activity.” Part-time work under this amount may be okay, but discuss with us first to avoid jeopardizing your claim.

SSDI is based on your work history and payments into Social Security. SSI is need-based for those with limited income/resources. SSDI typically pays more and includes Medicare after 24 months. SSI includes immediate Medicaid. Many people qualify for both.
